The ball is about to drop! Which means two things: 2012 is upon us and The Anthology’s most ridiculous moment of the past year is too. So without further adieu I give you…

1. This. A “before” shot so hideous it needs no description (though, if you’d like one, you’ll find it here). It really is something, isn’t it? Let’s take a moment to wallow in its ridiculousness, let’s honour its florals, its frills, its potato sack-ness. And then, when you’ve had enough, take a look at its rather incredible transformation.
I don’t know how we’re going to top this in 2012, my friends, but you better believe I’m going to try.
So far on The Anthology’s countdown we’ve got 10. an invisible man, 9. a friendly Sasquatch, 8. psychedelic pants, 7. alpine picnic 6. pompom-shaking, 5. fashion passion 4. my biggest fan 3. my male model entourage so that brings us to…
2. It was the question I assumed everyone would ask. When the unbelievably adorable Miss America walked the runway during the Joseph Ribkoff Show at Vancouver Fashion Week I saw an opportunity to live the dream. So my encounter with her after the show went a little something like this…

Miss America: “Wait, you want to try on my crown?” Me: “Yeah, I’m totally serious.”

Miss America: “Is she allowed to try on my crown?” Me: “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!”

The answer was no. But…
P.S. Take a closer look at the vintage dress I’m wearing before I reworked it and after.
We’re counting down The Anthology’s highlights of the past year (10. an invisible man, 9. the friendly Sasquatch, 8. psychedelic pants, 7. alpine picnic, 6. pompom-shaking, 5. fashion passion 4. my biggest fan) which means we are now at the top three…

3. The most ridiculous still frame ever. When I stopped by Breakfast Television to talk men’s fashion I did so with an entourage of male models (it’s how I roll). And somehow, during filming, we managed to capture these facial expressions. Let’s go through them, shall we? First, I look like I’ve seen a ghost. Then there are the two gentlemen behind me who seem either really impressed or really unimpressed (probably the latter). And on the far left, if I am not mistaken, is some Blue Steel.
It was early in the morning. Cut us some slack.
P.S. I tweet bright and early so follow The Anthology on Twitter.
As we count down The Anthology’s highlights of the past year we’re seeing a lot of ridiculous randomness (10. an invisible man, 9. the friendly Sasquatch, 8. psychedelic pants, 7. alpine picnic, 6. pompom-shaking, and 5. fashion passion). Which brings us to…

4. The sheer joy on this man’s face. There is one band that I would see every weekend if I could: !!! (Chk Chk Chk). Their dance parties are like nothing else and their short shorts-wearing frontman Nic Offer can hype a crowd like no other. So when I got to meet him I was thrilled. And he, judging by the look on his face, was over the moon at the chance to meet me. I mean, he can barely contain himself, he’s so giddy. That, my friends, is the effect I have on people.
P.S. You’ll really notice that effect when you add The Anthology on Facebook.
P.P.S. Braden Paul shot !!! (Chk Chk Chk) for The Anthology and his photos are ridiculously hilarious/amazing.
OMG, I love OneMoreGadget. So much so, I did a video review of these fancy little Babushkups for them.

Thing is, it quickly turned into a cat video. (Of course it did! This is the internet, after all.) Take a look…
On The Anthology’s ten most ridiculous moments of 2011 there’s been a lot of happy-go-luckiness (see a handsome invisible man, the world’s friendliest Sasquatch, a pair of psychedelic pants, a spectacular alpine picnic and a little pompom-shaking). But this is different…

5. The angriest interviewer ever. I hosted a back to school style segment for Global Television and in it, judging by this shot, I was furious about back to school fashion. Why? Who knows. I have no recollection of this ferocity, only photographic evidence. In truth, the shoot was a blast, the clip is upbeat and the students are amazing. So this photo is just plain ridiculous.
P.S. I tweet from the green room so follow @TheAnthology.
There’s been a lot of ridiculosity on The Anthology’s ten most ridiculous moments of 2011. First, there was an invisible man, then there was a Sasquatch, then MC Hammer, and then the world’s most beautiful picnic spot. Which brings us to…

6. A whole new meaning to “Shake your pompom.” Erika Renfrew has scouted many fashion shows and events for The Anthology. But of them all, this outfit from the Art Institute Grad Fashion Show has to be the most ridiculously, unexpectedly sexy. Honestly. A wired pompom skirt? Who’d a thunk?
P.S. The Anthology on Google+. Think about it.
There’s been a lot of high fashion on The Anthology’s ten most ridiculous moments of 2011 so far (check out the invisible, the Sasquatch-inspired and the MC Hammer-esque) which brings us to something that’s ridiculous not because of what I’m wearing (though for the record it’s Forma Athletic Gear) but because it’s…

7. The most ridiculous picnic spot ever. I can’t really describe how stunningly beautiful (and moderately terrifying) the British Columbia’s Bugaboo Mountains are. But I can tell you that the most ridiculously amazing experience I had this year was heli-hiking from a luxury lodge so remote it didn’t get cell service, but did have its own Swiss pastry chef. Alpine picnics beat sea-level picnics any day. And they’re especially thrilling when you’re keeping your eye out for grizzly bears. May I suggest you add it to your bucket list? Thanks again, Canadian Mountain Holidays!
P.S. Add The Anthology on Facebook while you still have access to your computer.

May your day be filled with pajamas and presents, quality time by the fire, and way too much turkey.
