Thankfully I circled back to get this men’s battledress jacket.

It’s so much more hardcore than the pretty little sequin sweater and razzle-dazzle-y jacket I also got that day.
I would obsess and obsess for weeks (months? years?) if I didn’t go back to get it. Are you like that? Please tell me I’m not alone.
Seriously, tell me that you like my watch and I’ll turn bright red.

For the past week I have been heckled (by my own mother) to post an outfit that incorporates the Canucks.
Herewith, my husband’s old school Canucks t-shirt (this logo is my favourite).
And a little sequin number I got at the antique fair.
How do you show your support for your home team? Do you actually, like, watch their games and stuff?
I went to an antique fair today with the intention of getting a bookshelf, a writing desk and a dresser. I found none of those things.
Instead, I found this little ditty.
It’s the perfect mix of Eastern Europe and the 80s, two things I love very much.
And it’s way cooler than a bookshelf. Funny how you can go looking for something and be perfectly happy you didn’t find it, isn’t it?
This outfit is black and white and red all over.
This vintage skirt was quite a find (I love pleats).
I also love imagining the original owner of my vintage pieces. This one seems like it could have belonged to a detective back when people smoked at work. What do you think?

On the beach in Barcelona, it’s a dress. I love a good shirt/dress. So versatile.
And then there’s my amethyst cuff, which is always an amethyst cuff.
Forget diamonds, I think coloured stones are a girl’s best friend.
Throw a party with lots of wine and lots of cheese.
Which is exactly what my friend Briony (the world’s hottest accountant) did.
She looked so cute in her thrifted tank top and Camper shoes.

The first is by the stylish Mike Lyall who silkscreened 6 0h 4 on it. (604 is Vancouver’s area code. 6 0h 4 just makes me laugh).
The second is by Michael Doehle (also the man behind this shirt) who collaborated with Jamie Bizness on this one-of-a-kind piece.
He gave it to our pal Dana as a parting gift (thanks for the photos Dana).
Do you know any other Mikes who could whip up some custom shirts? I want to expand my collection.
First, there’s his moustache, which he’s been rocking since Movember.
Then there’s his bolo tie, which is tied with his bow tie for first place in the neckwear category.
And then there’s his bike. Which is just rad.
Finally: his hair. Which is well on its way to being Morrissey hair.
