A born-and-raised, through-and-through, right-down-to-the-core Vancouverite.
But I’ve never been as Mountie-hugging, as maple leaf-waving, as red-wearing as I am now.
That’s what hosting the world does to you.
Spent the whole day playing tourist in Vancouver, posing in front of landmarks I drive by every day on the way to work.
And boy was it fun.
Because not only was it a sunny Olympic-hosting day, but it was also Chinese New Year.
Happy Year of the Tiger, friends! Gooooooo Canada!

Can we do this one night after work this wk please? I want to play!!!
So cute that you are so proud!
Larissa — Yes! Let’s play tourist every day! We walked and walked and walked for literally eight hours. I’ve never spent so much time downtown (unless you count the work week, in which case I spend that much time downtown every day).
Miss Neira — I know! The Olympics have turned us into flag-waving Canadians. Sooooo not our usual style!
Completely agreed! GO CANADA GO!
Are we wearing red to curling?
yes ma, red to curling of course!
Vancity Allie — How excited are you for hockey to start?!?!
Irina — You better believe it. Red and Gold. So Canada will win gold.
Larissa — Best surprise event ever!
Haven’t been watching the Olympics due to Fashion Week madness! But congrats on Canada hosting!!
Love your red sweater coat!
Dreamsequins — Both our cities are so alive right now, huh? And for entirely different reasons. NYFW would be amazing!
MizzJ — Thank you! It’s Ralph Lauren. So cozy. I love it!
