How do I love it? Let me count the ways

After reading the post about my little pirate bracelet, Lexie, my new favourite DIY-er, upped and turned her great-grandmother’s antique Thai bracelet into a very modern-looking wrist wrap.

The gold-plated piece was missing a clasp so Lexie wrapped it twice around her wrist and tied it with a bold red ribbon. “It clashes brilliantly with my hair (since my hair is pretty much the same colour as Jessi’s) but as long as I don’t hold it up to my head I think I should be fine,” she says.

Lexie, it turned out so beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing!

Me too! That’s why I’m going to try to make something similar to Lexie’s bracelet. As soon as I find the perfect piece to make it with.

I’ve been meaning to do something like this for a while. I might have mentioned I did a charm leather bracelet similar to your pirate one a few years back. All the places I get my materials from were closed during August though, so hopefully I can start doing a little DIY next month :)

Haute — that’s the beautiful thing about Paris. In July everything’s on sale. In August everything’s closed

Gerri — send me photos if you make one
