Thank you | National Post

Thank you, National Post, for featuring my striped self alongside Tom Mora, VP of women’s design at J.Crew. You’ll find my recap of the opening of the clothier’s new Vancouver store here.

Thanks, Evaan, for snapping that shot and thanks, Marc, for spotting it!

Style | Spring Trends on Breakfast Television

When you do morning television your day starts early. Like, really early. At that time of the morning when only hardcore joggers — you know, the ones who lace up their running shoes before dawn — are up.

I’ve never been one of those joggers, but with a heckuva lot of coffee, I can be one of those morning people.

I did Breakfast Television for Vitamin Daily the other day and talked spring trends at Old Navy (the outfit pictured), Gap and Banana Republic. Think lots of fun, summeriffic colours, even for gentlemen.

And me. My silk top and lace skirt are from Banana Republic.

My shoes are Elizabeth and James.

If you were out jogging and missed the clip, you can watch it riiiiiiiiight here.

Thanks for having me, Breakfast Television! And thanks again Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, Tara Parker Tait, Vitamin Daily, Michelle and Laura!

Thank you | WE Vancouver

Thank you, WE Vancouver, for featuring my tangerine-wearing face in your Out After Dark column (holler, May Globus!) with Sam Shamash, head of marketing for AG Hair (they’re from Vancouver, did y’all know that?).

This pic was taken at the Social Feed x The Anthology event and there’re plenty more riiiiiiiiiiight here.

Thank you | Flare

For featuring my feet amongst those of your favourite digital darlings.

You’ll find quite the army of warm weather footwear riiiiiiiiiiiight here.

P.S. Shopbop and The Anthology are giving away a $100 Shopbop gift card! Enter riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight here.

Style | Dresses! Dresses! Dresses on CTV!

Before a calm, cool and collected live segment

…is just a touch of backstage nuttiness. (And sometimes a little on-stage nuttiness too.) But that’s what makes these things so much fun to do.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have people like Erika, who might look a little familiar, by my side. (She’s wearing a dress from H&M, a jacket from JNBY and boots from Sterling.)

And Amy (wearing a dress by Jacqueline Conoir and jacket by H&M that she really should get because it looks so good on her).

And Natasha, wearing the hottest, comfiest dress by Jason Matlo (I’m obsessed!) and a necklace from H&M that I really should have bought for myself.

If you didn’t get up early with us, don’t fret, sleepyhead. You can watch the clip riiiiiiiiiiiight here.

Thank you Natasha, Erika, Amy and Emily for all your help. Thank you Norma and CTV for making it such a fun segment!

[My dress is from JNBY, shoes by Thakoon for Giuseppe Zanotti.]

P.S. If you’re in Vancouver, mark your calendar for Thursday, March 1st. Just do it. I’ll explain later.

Behind the Scenes | CTV Morning Live

There’s a lot to take into consideration when you’re preparing to do live television — timing, cue cards, wardrobe, angles, models, hair, makeup, what on earth you’re going to say when the camera starts rolling. But the one thing I always forget?

The mic pack.

Which is why I get to do this little dance.

On set. In front of the entire crew, all of downtown and, now, you.

Keep it classy, Vancouver.

Catch my segment with CTV Morning Live’s Norma Reid (and my firmly secured mic pack) right here.

More behind-the-scenes shots coming your way, my friends. Including shots of my gorgeous models and their rather spectacular outfits. Thank you, Emily Hyde, for snapping these photos!

[Dress by JNBY, shoes by Thakoon for Giuseppe Zanotti.]

Thank you WE Vancouver!

For featuring my smiley face in your Out After Dark column alongside some of my very favourite Vancouverites — the ladies of the Cross Decor and Design (happy 8th birthday!), Chambar’s new bar manager Jacob Sweetman (whose winter punch you really need to try) and Marc Brunet of BeautyMark (where I am about to stock up on all sorts of holiday sparkle).

May Globus, you’re the best!

Thank you | Flare

It’s LG Fashion Week! And Flare is celebrating by featuring a few of your favourite Canadian style bloggers (including yours truly) wearing our favourite Canadian pieces. Shockingly, none of us wore a maple leaf fascinator. Take a peek.

Thank you, Ryan Michael Cheung and Andrea Karr!
