And only one thing every day for the rest of your life, what would you pick?
I’d opt for a saree.
It’s bright, it’s colourful, and it can be wrapped in a million different ways (if you know what you’re doing. I don’t. But I’d like to think I could learn).
Wore one as a bridesmaid for my ladyfriend’s wedding.
It, like Anji’s saree, earrings and necklace, was lovingly hand-picked in India.
As were all the bridesmaids’ sarees. (Not the dress on the right, mind you. That’s a Diane von Furstenberg beauty.)
Is seven metres of silk a bit much for casual Friday? I think not.

I love sarees! They are definitely the most comfortable thing and come in the most gorgeous of variations.
Sarees truly are a work of art and I love the burgundy red one that you’re rocking. You all look so amazing in them! the DVF number is pretty sweet too. I think I’m going to have colour-overload from this post; I love it haha
Beautiful ladies!!! I’ve always wanted to experience wearing one! My Mom did when she was invited to a wedding and I got a bit jealous. LOL.
So vibrant!!
What a cute picture! You guys look gorgeous!
But I don’t think I could pick one thing….give me variety or give me death! :)
Agreed. I do think that they’re one of the most beautiful things in the world! I’d love to own one!

awww I’ve never worn a saree before. Haven’t even seen in real life, only in movies :D but it’s so popular worldwide. My current boyfriend is half Indian so if I am to marry him one day it’ll be my first time wearing a saree. :) it’s a long road though.
but all the sarees in those pictures are wonderful, the colors are just fantastic.
I don’t believe in casual Friday, it’s formal Friday all the way! And heck yes to sarees, they take forever to put on, but they look stunning.
Personally, I’d say that seven metres of silk is perfect for casual Friday!! :P

That saree is STUNNING. I’ve been to a couple of Indian weddings and I’m always enthralled by all the gorgeous colors and fabrics-so much more exciting than a western wedding.
