Out for dinner the other night

And it was finally spring-y enough to wear a summer dresses (underneath a faux fur jacket, but still).

This particular number I found in Turkey last summer. And it’s got everything I love in a dress — bat-wing sleeves, light material and a beautiful print. Makes me think I need to get a similar one made in a different print.

My boots? Didn’t have to travel quite so far to find them. They’re from Umeboshi on Main Street.

P.S. Will you be my tweetheart?

Your criteria for a great dress totally matches mine – just what is it about batwings that is so alluring? Your dress is gorgeous!!

That dress is amazing. It’s funny, I popped into Holt Renfrew today to try to find a present for someone and then I remembered how expensive everything is in there. I love that you bought that dress while traveling, and it reminds me that you don’t need a label to be chic!

MizzJ — Batwings are funny, huh? The name certainly does not match their glamour.

As for my holy grail mascara — it’s by Lancome and I can’t for the life of me remember its name. Will have to get back to you on that one.

VancityAllie — So, so true, m’lady! It’s all about mixing and matching. I’ve always thought the perfect outfit would be made of a dress from Value Village with shoes from Holts.

    High/low, ya know?

Teresa — So jealous of your trip to Portland. Have fun! Can’t wait to see what you bring back.

Larissa — You know that my nickname was Tube Arms for years, right? And I’m not even kidding.
