Love how layers of the same(ish) colour look.
Especially when they’re purple and purply grey (which is, coincidentally, the colour I painted my dining room table).
With all the vintage furs and brooches and shawls at the opera (are they considered vintage if you bought them new 40 years ago?), this dress begged to be worn.
I got it at Deluxe Junk in gastown last summer.
And had it shortened significantly so I could wear it in LA.
P.S. Rigoletto was absolutely incredible.
This shirt was a dress. I don’t have a before shot, but if you imagine what a hip grade four teacher would have worn in 1985, you get the idea.
My favourite thing about it? The tie-up sleeves.
