The Anthology’s Put a Pin in it series does what it can to fuel your obsession with Pinterest.
I love the concept behind Kid & Coe — it’s like airbnb but with baby gates, high chairs and toy chests.
I haven’t yet stayed in any of their homes but boy, do they make me want to pack up the playard and trek across the globe.
Their Pinterest boards are as beautiful as their homes.
And some of them are quite cute to boot.
So put a pin in Kid & Coe and The Anthology too.

The Anthology’s Pinstagram column marries the dream (Pinterest) and the reality (Kelsey Dundon’s Instagram photos of places and faces in and around Vancouver).
Got the blues. A shirt (from Club Monaco) that matches your grandma’s couch and an icy blue Swedish room.
Veggie love fest. Brunch at the Bird’s Nest and shaved asparagus salad.
Killer view. The scene outside SFU’s harbour campus and the camp spot of my dreams (which reminds me of one we had on the beach in Oregon a few years ago).
Ring ring bling. Jewelled iPhone cases (from H&M) which I featured in a trend series I styled for The Province and a pair of sparkly earrings.
Picture this. Behind the scenes of a shoot I styled and a more traditional, but no less dreamy, workspace.
Crown jewels. A lace-looking necklace (from Plenty) and a royal beauty.

You waded through a giant ice bath, climbed a quarter pipe in the rain, and sipped mimosas in the name of fundraising. I was there to talk about it and The Province was there to capture it all on film.
This weekend’s woman2warrior obstacle race benefitting BC Easter Seals Camps could not have been more fun and I could not be more proud to have been part of it. Thank you all! See you next year!

In my Digital Communications Classes at SFU I talk a lot about Klout (it’s a social media measurement tool, mom). And in the rest of my life I talk a lot about trends. So it felt like worlds colliding when I gave a series of spring trend presentations at Canada’s first ever Klout event, held at Metropolis at Metrotown the other night.
The event had a serious floral theme so I showcased some of my favourite floral prints, like this tropical-print chambray men’s button-up (from Plenty.)
And a few other biggies like California-inspired menswear (from Plenty), washed-out pastel leather jacket (from Danier), distressed overalls and bold prints (from H&M and Costa Blanca).
All of which were pulled together with the help of my lovely assistants Amy and Amy (and Margarita, not pictured).

When I give trend presentations, one of the audience questions that often comes up is: What to wear to work? It’s hard, I know, to balance personal style with professionalism. And to make things even trickier, some gigs require pantyhose. I’ve always been lucky enough to work in very creative environments so to answer the what-to-wear-in-a-cubicle question, I turned to Breanne of Proper & Pink…
Ready to work hard without looking like you tried too hard? Get your pen an pad and get ready to take note.
1) Pencil Skirt
Even your work outfit should speak to your personality, so don’t settle for drab. Sure you can go for pants, but a pencil skirt adds a bit of feminine flair. I love this pencil skirt from H&M because it’s fitted perfectly and it’s affordably priced, so you can focus on getting that paycheque and upgrading to something more expensive later.
2) Blouse
Now that we have the perfect pencil skirt, it’s time to complete our look with a blouse. NYandCompany.com has a super refreshing tie-neck button-front blouse that comes in several colours (one for everyday of the week perhaps?). The tie gives you a little variety — it can be tied like a bow or worn loose.
3) Blazer
A blazer isn’t essential for your work look, but it is great to have for meetings and more professional settings. Plus, a longer boyfriend blazer is casual enough to wear off duty too.
4) A New Handbag
Your work look wouldn’t be complete without a fancy new handbag. I love this bag from Aldo because it’s professional looking and it’s not too big, which makes it perfect for carrying to work. It has enough pockets and compartments to house everything you need. It’s can be worn with just about any ensemble, on or off the clock.
5) Jewelry
Some workplaces call for jewelry that’s stylish but not overbearing. This bamboo-like bangle from Emitations.com will do the trick nicely.
And just like that, your work will stand out and your outfit will complement it.
