WZRDZ > NKOTB

I will not be wearing this to the WZRDZ show on Friday at the Astoria.

Because it would be sacrilege to wear the t-shirt of one of my favourite boybands (the New Kids) to the show of my other favourite boyband (the WZRDZ).

(Are the WZRDZ going to put a curse on me for calling them a boyband? Holy Harry and Hermione, I hope not.)

How could you not want to party with these guys? (Mon petit frere is the bearded one on the right.)

The WZRDZ first Vancouver show is Friday at the Astoria (769 E. Hastings). Doors are at 10pm. I’ll see you there.

Lilith Fair is back!

And boy is it beautiful, if I do say so myself (my agency designed the new look and I’m just so gosh-darned thrilled with it).

To find out who’s playing when and where next summer, follow Lilith on Twitter. And while you’re at it, follow The Anthology too.

On Monday

I will see you at the Dodos’ show at The Biltmore. Can’t wait!

Til then, I’ll leave you with a link to their song Fools. And no, that’s not because I think you are one.

Since you were wondering, I found this lovely photo here.

It’s going to be magical. No really. They’re WZRDZ.

Everybody’s favourite fantasy-themed electronica dance rock band The WZRDZ will be performing live Sunday, Sept. 6th at Lucky Bar in Victoria. My baby bro is the drummer so I’ll be there with my Gryffindor cape on. Draco Dormiens Numquam Titillandus!

Last time I went I spotted these brilliant, outrageously stylish ladies amidst the dragon and unicorn costumes.

Man I’m excited. If you’re in Victoria (heck, even if you’re not) you don’t want to miss it. Thanks to Tori for the photo.

Thank you, universe

I was beginning to think I wasn’t meant to see the Friendly Fires in concert. When they opened for Lykke Li, I showed up too late to catch them (smooth move, Kels).

Then they returned to Vancouver the same night Britney Spears was here and I chose Britney. Obviously. (How else would I have gotten to experience this?)

Friendly Fires Vancouver

Now, they’re coming to Venue on Thursday, November 26th. And I feel like I’ve been given a third chance to make it all right.
