So here’s mine: I want to amass a huge art collection. I want a collection so massive I have to keep half of it in storage. I want paintings and photographs and sculptures. Tons of them. Everywhere.
And I’m on my way (just look at my living room wall). But there’s always room for more.
So if I were in Vancouver this weekend I’d be at Hearts for Haiti bidding my, um, heart out on the 50 + pieces up for auction. Because that’s another one of my goals: support charity fundraisers.
Go! This Saturday (March 6th) at Pacific Palisades Hotel, 1277 Robson Street in Vancouver. For tickets and info: HeartsforHaitiVancouver.org.
Mixed medium on canvas by Josy Frias.

Did you ever see a documentary called “Herb & Dorothy?” There was also a short one on PBS too: http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/herb-and-dorothy/film.html
They were the ultimate collectors!

For those in Toronto, C Magazine is having its annual auction this month: http://cmagazine.com/
Lots of great artists and good deals to be had.
