Born again gorgeous

This guest post is courtesy of Ashley, one of my very best friends in the whole wide  world.

In the beginning, there was the scarf. A gorgeous vintage scarf. And now it has become these amazing shoes.

Te Cesan shoes

Purchased at Te Casan in NYC (RIP), the broadway-dancer-wannabe-turned-sales-associate only had to utter the words “one of a kind” and I was sold.

Te Cesan scarf shoes

Of course, it didn’t hurt that the proceeds from the scarf benefitted Oxfam, and that the line was designed specifically for Te Casan.

They’ve brought me so much joy, and inspired my new found love of rededicated pieces such as these:

leather lawn chairs

A leather converted lawn chair by Front;

diamond ring

a recycled gold and conflict-free diamond ring;

pop can chandelier

a ceiling-to-floor chandelier of recycled pop bottles.

Raw silk dress shoes

Reduce? I would rather not. But reuse and recycle is looking better all the time.

Want to contribute to the Anthology? (Who wouldn’t?) Send me a note at theanthology@live.com. Thanks Ash!
