It’s been busy — and sleepless — around here. But it’s also been really cute and cuddly so I’m not complaining.

In a cinch. A #tbt to when I wore elastic-waisted pants because I wanted to and not because I had to (vest c/o Patagonia, jacket from Danier, pants from Anthropologie) + a floral dress with a cinched waist.

Artiste. A painter in her studio + a pop art print.

Yeah! The best wedding-themed card I’ve ever seen (at Front) + electric love.

No-makeup look. My favourite after-segment ritual is taking off my stage makeup (Bioderma is such a drugstore miracle!) + beautiful bottles.

Come as you are. A Halloween costume made entirely of my kid’s everyday wardrobe + a little one with similar fashion sense.

Fall/winter seems to be everyone’s favourite time for fashion. Maybe because you have to wear so much of it in order to brave the elements? Or is it just the size of the fall fashion issues that get everyone drooling? Or the prospect of holiday parties and the dresses that go along with them?

All I know is fall/winter clothes get people really excited. Which made me (and my bump) especially excited to share three key trends for the season on Global TV featuring beautiful pieces from Geox (like the jacket pictured at the top), Club Monaco, Plenty, BCBGMAXAZRIA (like the faux suede top I’m holding above), Bench., and Ecco.

Gilded age. The carousel at Seattle’s Woodland Zoo + shiny mid-century modern decor.

Cool water. The fountain at Seattle City Center during an early fall day + the cool waters of what looks like the Pacific Northwest.

Green machine. I showcased an emerald green baby bump during a recent trend presentation on Global TV + a very friendly dinosaur room.

Bright lights. The lobby of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre during a performance of Rigoletto + a powder puff of a restaurant in London.

Black and white. Above and behind the scenes at a recent Wardrobe Rescue makeover I did on Global TV (thanks for the photo, Zoe!) + an illustration that would make pretty cool wallpaper for a powder room.

With child. There’s no maternity wear more amazing than a vintage mumu (thanks, Katie, for the photo!) + an embroidered toddler dress that would make for quite the mommy ‘n me look.

Graphic imagery. Wild new wallpaper at Grub on Main + the work of Roos van Dijk.
Workspace. A necklace I’m using in a Global segment I’m working on + a desk I’d be quite happy to work at.
Posted notice. An ad for what might be the most fun dance class ever + a work of art by Jenny Prinn.
Golden child. My kid’s hair matches the decor + a shirt that would camouflage right in.

Mustard yellow doesn’t sound all that glamorous but, boy, does it look it. It’s like a little bit of muted sunshine for your closet and your floor.
Wear: A day dress at Totokaelo (one of my favourite stops in Seattle).
Where: A kitchen (with art in it!) designed by INT2 Architecture.

Lights! Colour! Action! Bright studio lights + bright gallery lights.

Pop of yellow. Sometimes you need a pop of sunshine + sometimes you match your decor.

Workspace. My office is never tidy enough to shoot anything but a patch of floor + a corner of an art studio that looks suspiciously tidy.

Somebunny loves them. Selling breakfast to a toddler + a kitchen that could sell anything to anyone.

Sometimes I feel like the only person on the planet who loves Valentine’s Day. And I don’t mean the roses and baby’s breath kind of VDay, I mean the “I Choo Choo Choose You and there’s a picture of a train” kind of Valentine’s Day. It’s so sweet, so cheesy, so full of sugar!
I stopped by CTV Morning Live with a few sappy, sassy, and sexy gifts for the Hallmark Holiday.
I hope you <3 it! Take a look here. Thanks again for having me, CTV!

Lights! Glamour! Action! Right before sharing my favourite spring trends on Global Television + a night light of sorts.
Black from head to toe. Before doing a makeover with Metropolis at Metrotown on Global Television + an all-black outfit of a different stripe (which feels very Audrey Hepburn).

That’s a wrap! A bow-tiful ribbon by CANVAS with gift wrap from Papyrus + possibly the cutest way to wrap a present ever.
Santa baby. The closest we came to getting a picture with Santa this year + a vintage Christmas party invitation.
Red and green! Accidental holiday colours behind the scenes at Global Television + a very glamourous red gown.

I’m a last-minute shopper. Always have been. Always will be. And I’m not alone (please tell me I’m not alone). So to help you pick out a little something for your gentlemen friends, I stopped by CTV Morning Live to share a few of my favourite things.
My picks? The include:
Traceable down-filled vest from Patagonia (which just opened their first store in Vancouver at Fourth and Maple)
Beer chocolates from Granville Island Brewing
Italian chess set from Atkinson’s
And then some! Take a look.
