I don’t like most big cities, but I love NYC for their little neighbourhoods that give such a large city a more intimate vibe.

Well, I already follow ShopBop on Twitter, so ShopBop, I hope you know how much I love you already. ♥ :P

I love New York for the wonderful history and continued legacy it has in the arts, business and culture. There are so many museums, galleries, bookstores, boutiques, etc. that I want to visit! Did I forget to mention New York Fashion Week? Besides, isn’t the *real* Pooh Bear and friends at the New York Library? I’d visit the city just to see him and say ‘Hello!’

I love NY because it really does feel like anything can happen there, from falling in love to finding a new passion in life to seeing something completely unbelievable. It’s such an amazing city.

Oh! And I follow shopbop on twitter!

I love the amazing venues for live music and the effortlessly fashionable people who occupy them. One of my favourites from a recent trip was the Cake Shop – records, cake and basement parties.

i love NYC because it’s a city of extremes. Extremely noisy: Times Square, extremely quiet: The Cloisters, extrememly great falafels and extremely terrible hot dogs. Extremely rude taxi drivers and extremely friendly shop assistants. Every religion, sexual orientation, culture is represented and anyone can get lost in the crowd and yet still feel at home. One of my favourite cities in the world!

Oui! Already following shopbop. I love New York for its vibrancy, lights, and sense of hope. As you walk through the streets, feels like you’re lost in the city but at the same time wanting to find your place in it too.

i love the tight communities that exist within the large city. you get the small-town feel with all the excitement of a really big city. there’s a million and one things to do with young (and old) children and it’s a city that caters to the all ages, all people. plus, where else can you casually run into tina fey?

  • Reply maria February 16, 2012 at 6:15 pm

I have never been to New York but i would love to go. The city just seems to be so full of life and energy and tons of stuff to do.

  • Reply Sarah February 16, 2012 at 6:56 pm

I love NYC because I studied there for a term during the last year of my undergraduate degree.

It was an amazing cultural experience – far different from the mean streets of Hamilton and McMaster University!

What’s there to not love about NYC to a good ol’ regular Vancouver girl? I don’t exaggerate when I say that New York truly does offer something for all tastes – for me, it’s the exemplary arts & food. When in the Big Apple, my favourite thing to do is set out armed with my camera, a subway station map, and of course, an insatiable appetite to drink in as much of the city as possible. New York is amazing and I truly wish you the most fantastic time :))

I love New York because it is the only place in the world that has always sparked my interest and has inspired me in regard to different aspects in my life. And the weird thing is… I haven’t actually visit the city yet. Isn’t it strange that an “unfamiliar” city can have such an impact?

New York…ahh. There’s this indescribable quality about New York that I felt the very moment I landed, as my eyes lay glimpse on the city. There’s just so much energy and life. I’ve been to many cities around the world now and in New York there has always been this sense that there’s something hiding around the corner waiting to be chanced upon. Always something to do and something to see, to discover.
