Your very own helicopter: a giveaway!

Remember collecting helicopter seeds on your way home from school when you were young?

justine-brooks-pendant

Award-winning Vancouver designer Justine Brooks does. She’s used those sycamore blades to cast gorgeous sterling silver pendants (that would look great with a crisp white shirt). The best part? Justine Brooks wants to give a sterling silver helicopter pendant (valued at $110) to one of you lucky Anthology readers! So how do you win?

For one entry: Comment on this post and tell us how you’d style it. (I’d wear it solo around my neck, but I’d pile on the bracelets.)
For two entries: Write on The Anthology’s Facebook wall.
For three entries: Holler @TheAnthology on Twitter.

The contest is open to readers worldwide and the winner will be chosen on Wednesday, June 8th. Good luck!

UPDATE: And we have a winner! Congratulations Cassie Lee!

I have a v-neck LBD that would be perfectly jazzed up by this necklace. I heart it. I would definitely switch the chain out to something a bit more substantial and wear it alone!!

I’d wear it real simple with a black tunic and tights or straight-leg jeans. I really love the organic style of this necklace.

I’m not even a jewelry person but I’d wear this – I have this teal scoop-necked shirt that I’d love to pair it with.

I would wear it with this http://www.shopmyclothes.com/MyDetails.aspx?postid=3671 and like you, Kelsey, I would pile on the bracelets! :P

I have the perfect grassy green strapless summer dress that needs a good necklace like this!

  • Reply Kristine May 30, 2011 at 10:18 am

I’d wear a bright summer t with a low v cut in the back… and place this pendant on my back to highlight the shape.

I’d pair this with flowing linen pants, leather sandals and I’d wear a handful of silver rings, stacked.

It’s gorgeous piece and I’d be happy to show it off!!

How beautiful! I’d wear it with jeans and a simple tee, nothing to distract. I really love this necklace.

  • Reply Michelle McKendry May 30, 2011 at 12:18 pm

OK….can’t really compete with Kristine but I’d wear it with my fave sleeveless grey top (with a little matte bling around the edges), tights and my totally styin’ knee-high boots!!

  • Reply Couture Carrie May 30, 2011 at 12:49 pm

    So beautiful!
I’d wear it with an LBD to really showcase the piece!

I’d wear that necklace and nothing else.

Just kidding. I’d wear it with these vintage gold pants I’ve been waiting to wear and a black tank.

Okay, off to tweet and fb you! xo

I love this! I used to open up the pods and stick them on my nose as a kid ;)

I would wear it with a simple white or grey v-neck tee and some crisp white jeans & sandals. Thanks!

  • Reply Rebecca May 30, 2011 at 1:26 pm

Wow – what a seriously beautiful necklace! I think I would showcase it by styling it with a simple white or black silk tank.

  • Reply Cassie May 30, 2011 at 2:49 pm

I’d style the necklace with a basic white tank (slouchy with a pocket), my cropped skinny jeans, dolce vita wedges, michael kors rose-gold watch and new suede bag…maybe a light floral scarf to fem it up a bit! Great giveaway, thanks girlie :)

  • Reply Jen May 30, 2011 at 2:58 pm

I would wear it by itself, with a white peasant blouse and capris! I used to love the helicopters!

  • Reply alison*elle May 30, 2011 at 6:19 pm

OMG, so cute! I totally remember those things. I would wear it with a slouchy tank top (black or white), cuffed skinny jeans, and sandals for a summer look.

    xo, alison*elle

  • Reply solara May 30, 2011 at 6:27 pm

i would wear it with the navy silk romper i just got, along with some fab tights (black, grey, or something super bright and awesome like teal perhaps) and my black fluevog clogs. & i too would wear a bracelet or 2. or 3. never too many!

  • Reply solara May 30, 2011 at 6:30 pm

and then when i was not wearing this beauty, i would hang it on my wall so i could admire the beauty each day, whether i wore it or not i’d admire it each & everyday. i do this with jewelry and hats so i can view them as wearable art and a true collection of art should be seen and worn, if possible!

  • Reply maria May 30, 2011 at 8:24 pm

I think it would look amazing with a tan and just a strapless summer dress!

  • Reply Elaine May 30, 2011 at 10:07 pm

this pendant is gorgeous!! i would wear it through the whole summer!
it would look great with just about anything simple especially a solid color flowing tank

  • Reply Morgan May 30, 2011 at 10:22 pm

Wow… gorgeous and nostalgic!!! I’d wear it with a simple white or black deep v-neck. Hair in a high bun to let it stand out on my neck.

  • Reply Liv May 30, 2011 at 10:26 pm

so cute! wear it with a quirky white tee (either cropped, or asymetrical or tapered), high waisted shorts and canvas shoes. top up with hammered stacked rings and silver bracelets.

  • Reply isavirtue May 30, 2011 at 10:38 pm

this necklace is great incredible beautiful! i used to open these up in the middle (peel them apart) and then stick them on the bridge of my nose!!! (because i was oh so cool as a child…)

another necklace with a vertical pendant would look nice dropped behind this one.

    cheers! paish

  • Reply Em May 30, 2011 at 11:12 pm

I would keep it classic and simple like the necklace itself. High waisted, wide-legged jeans, simple fitted black tank, nude chunky sandals and a bunch of chunky bracelets.

  • Reply Mio Tamura May 31, 2011 at 2:47 am

    so cute!
Thnx for commentin on my blog! yes The Moroccan hair product series is fabulous!

This necklace is so beautiful! It would be incredibly versatile. I LOVE IT! I would wear it with a maxi-dress and some flat gladiators with a hat. Classy, elegant and yet casual enough to strut the streets of Robson Vancouver. It would be kinda cute if I layer it with a shorter necklace of a branch to go with it! and yes lotsa bracelets!

    cheers!

Ooh, I so love this necklace. I too would wear it solo around my neck, and couple it with a black and white motif – black blazer, white v-neck top, dark wash skinny jeans and black pumps. Gorg! :)

I’d go weekend classic – flowing white tanktop, light grey waterfall caridgan on top. Dark jeans with the cuff rolled up and super cute penny loafers in a punchy colour like yellow or lime green :) I can see it now….

  • Reply Clarissa May 31, 2011 at 9:19 pm

This pendant is beautiful! I love it! I’d style it with a boat-neck dolman sleeved sweater, dark jeans, ballet flats, white pearl earrings, and wear my hair in a loose up-do :)

  • Reply Fifth Sparrow (Louise) June 1, 2011 at 7:45 pm

This is absolutely gorgeous! I’d wear it with stripes and a big smile while having a picnic. Cute, classic and natural! But I would probably just not take it off ever because it’s so perfect!

I *love* this pendant! I really like jewelery inspired by nature, particularly leaves. But I couldn’t afford a nacklace like this so I hope I win. Here goes with my styling:

I’d pair it with a black turtleneck, white pants, awesome colorblock flats, and a cute straw hat. Hair down. I think keeping the color away from the necklace, which is very detailed, would allow it to really sing. At the same time, accents on the head and feet keep the outfit interesting and modern. For makeup, I’d use a bronze-y eyeshadow and an apricot lip gloss. Here’s my Polyvore set for you guys =0)

(I’d follow you on twitter, but I don’t have twitter!)

It’s lovely. I would wear it with a slightly sheer, scoop-neck black t-shirt that shows off my collar bone (with my long hair up so it stands out), Tiffany silver tear drop earrings (had I not, tragically, lost one), a high waisted black pencil skirt with a silver obi belt, and the silver tango shoes I bought in Buenos Aires but have never had an opportunity to wear.

  • Reply Allie June 2, 2011 at 9:33 pm

gorgeous! i’d rock it with a big oversized tee, some super skinny black or distressed jeans & chunky heels. plus beachy, tangly, teased, blonde hair.

…ok now i NEED this necklace.

  • Reply Flora June 3, 2011 at 12:12 am

    I’d wear it with anything!

  • Reply ikkinlala June 3, 2011 at 8:48 am

I’d wear it with dark blue jeans and a simple black v-neck t-shirt. I rarely wear more than one piece of jewelry at a time.

  • Reply Rory June 3, 2011 at 4:13 pm

Id wear it with flats and a stripey dress! messy bun, of course
