Walking in a winter wonderland

winter-white

‘Tis chilly in Vancouver so I’m bundling up to the nines in a heckuva lotta plaid. (Very Canadian.)

target-leggings

And thick, thick leggings with piping detailing — only $25 at Target. (Not very Canadian.)

My love of hiking has taught me one thing about how to dress for wonky weather — layer like crazy. Hence the men’s scarf, men’s shirt, oversized vintage wool jacket. And a million other layers of t-shirts under that.

I should be fine. As long as it doesn’t dip below -5.

Please, Vancouver, be kind to us. (And please, Saskatoon, don’t laugh at us for being such fair-weather wussies.)

P.S. Stay warm with The Anthology on Facebook.

I’m soooo glad super-tight-can’t-breathe-love-handles-bulging kind of clothing is not in anymore!!! I love your blazer! I love menswear clothing!

Crazy how the temperature really dropped. My little brother in Alberta thinks we’re babies. We British Columbians are spoiled little brats. I like snow, but wind chill factor, please go away.

I wish I looked this cute in the cold weather. I’d still be freezing with an open jacket and thick leggings!! Totally wish I was born more cold-tolerant hahah.

I love love love this look! The mix of plaid and menswear look is amazing. Where can I find the shirt and jacket? And do they come in other colours?

I love this layered plaid menswear-inspired outfit. not really menswear inspired and just straight up menswear, but of course, you look amazing, as per usual! love the mixed plaid elements, you look cozy and stylish!

Elsa — Hope you find one similar!

Bionica — So, so cozy. It’s a must.

Kaye — Ha! I could never live in Alberta for that very reason. I’m just not hardcore enough.

Samantha — It’s all about the layers underneath. That, and staying inside.

    Alinka — Thank you!

    Janet Taylor — Awww thanks!

Lisa — Hope you had fun at Vincent Park. So sorry I missed it.

Michelle — JNBY has some amazing leggings with piping.

Janis — Fair enough. My wussiness deserves it.

Alicia — Seriously! As long as it’s snowing, I’ll be happy. It’s just the rain I can’t handle.

Sharon — Do you watch 30 Rock? The Canadian guy is always, always, always wearing plaid. I think he should join our plaid posse.

Jenny — Both are vintage, I’m afraid. The shirt is men’s, so I’m sure you could find something similar in any men’s department. The jacket might be a bit tougher to find something like it, though. Let me know how it goes!

Nicole — It’s all about real, good old-fashioned mens clothing. Love it!

    Chelsea — Thanks m’lady!
