Gimme Gimme More! Gimme More! Gimme Gimme More!

Sound familiar? It’s Britney Spears. And it’s also many of you.

Because after I posted a few teaser shots of the vintage wedding dress transformation, y’all were hollering for more. And who am I to deny you?

Here’s a refresher: I found this late 50s/early 60s dress at a thrift store and I had to have it. (I didn’t even know at the time that it has my initials sewn inside. Creepy, but true.)

So I had it hemmed.

And I specifically left the two layers of tulle longer than the under layer.

It’s more dreamy, more floaty, more ballet-y that way.

And it was perfect for the opera (Marriage of Figaro? Wedding dress? I mean, come on.)

P.S. I love when you like the Anthology on Facebook.

Love it! It is so ballet-ish that it reminds me of a performance tutu I had.

Rachael — It is very ballet-like, isn’t it?

MizzJ — What can I say? I’ve had a lot of practice. My tailor thinks I’m insane from all the things I bring to them, actually.

La flore et la faune — I make myself dizzy from all this twirling. What I won’t do in the name of blogging.

    Janet Taylor — Thank you!

Fee-Amore — The detailing is so pretty, isn’t it? That’s what I love most about vintage dresses.

Larissa — I know! I think that must be why my initials are sewn inside.

Liv — I wish I could wear this thing every day.

Annching — It is, isn’t it? So much fun to wear, too.
