Went on a little road trip

to Steveston, which is — what would you guess — 20 minutes outside Vancouver?

And yet, it is an entirely different world.

You’ve been, right? Probably even eaten the fish ‘n chips at Pajos (if you haven’t yet, you’ve got to).

We walked for hours along the trails. And boy, did it feel good to stretch our legs.

And watch people fly kites.

Wore a thrifted sweater, which was hand knit, probably by someone’s very lovely grandmother.

And my acid washed cutoffs.

Weekends in the summer. I’m telling you — they’re the best things going. The week has only just begun and already I’m asking myself: where to go next?

Oh Pajo’s… that, the lovely walks, and the antique stores are my favourite things in Steveston.

That’s such a beautiful, colorful, cozy sweater.

The weather has been awesome lately! Late nights, slushies and camping season!!! Wildfires aside :(

It’s my “go-to” place when I need to relax.

Yogurt at Timothy’s, Tiger icecream at Sara’s, long meaningful talks while sitting on the rocks by the beach… Mmmm… Good times.

You look like you’re about to take flight. How nice.
There is nothing finer than a hand knit cozy sweater.

Rachel — Oooooh Steveston has good antique shops? I’ll have to go check them out.

Kaye i — Cannot wait to go camping. So. Freaking. Excited.

Vinci — Tiger ice cream is one of my very favourites too. I’ll have to head back there and get some.

SLK — Either I look like I’m about to take flight or like I’m coming in for a landing.

    Couture Carrie — Thank you!

Diya — It was quite a find, wasn’t it?

Fee-amore — And it’s so cozy too. Perfect thing to throw on during a cool spring evening.

Great sweater Kelsey! Steveston is indeed fun. I’m always surprised by how many parts of Vancouver and BC there are… and how it’s always like going on a different adventure when we explore parts of our hometown.

I actually haven’t been to Pajo’s yet… so maybe I should make a trip out there soon. I’m a big Mr. Pickwick’s fish and chips fan (on Granville, not the one in the west end)…

Vancity Allie — There are a million amazing mini trips near Vancouver, aren’t there? I figure you probably know just about every single one of them, Ms. Surfer-Mountain-Biker-Snowboarder

Cafe Fashionista — And I love your style!

Alicia Fashionista — If you go, let me know how you like it. It’s sooooo beautiful!

Nubias Nonsense — It was quite a find, wasn’t it? And so warm too.

MC — Almost as good as Go Fish on Granville Island, huh?

Davidikus — Coming from a photographer, that’s a huge compliment. Thank you!
