I’m just not that into sloppy boyfriends

But when you can take a pair of boyfriend jeans and polish ’em up? That, I’m into.

baggy-jeans

Wore them with my shbooties, which, like my open-toed booties, will have to be tucked away for the long, long rainy season we’re expecting in the Couv.

The jeans are so freaking comfy I wear them casually (well, sailor-y) too. But with my Club Monaco tuxedo jacket and belt, they’re wearable to work.

My ma found these earrings in New Mexico. (When I said I’d wear them with everything, I wasn’t kidding.)

bag-kenneth-coleThough I’d call them boyfriend jeans, they’re actually ladies jeans I bought a few sizes too big (funny, they feel so much baggier in real life than they look in photos).

Regardless, they’re a keeper.

love those jeans – that’s a look i can’t pull off b/c it requires some long legs.

I am crazy too about those earrings – kinda ethnic looking but still pretty sleek/modern looking.

have a blast and see you on monday.

I love boyfriend jeans… great idea buying a bigger size ladies jeans. And I heart those booties.

That is such a divine ensemble. Since we’re being honest here…I don’t actually own any boyfriend jeans either – all of mine are simply women’s jeans that I bought a few sizes too big, as well! :)

I love those earrings! They have an art deco feel to them (I have a very similar vintage brooch). I love comfy boyfriend jeans, though I haven’t been wearing mine lately…. I prefer them long and worn with sneakers. Hope you had a great weekend!

You did a great job adding polish to your boyfriend jeans. The outfit overall is so sleek. :)

Liv — I don’t think you have to be tall to pull of boyfriend jeans (I’m hardly tall, for crying out loud). Don’t the Olsen twins rock them? Or did I just make that up?

Erin — Oh the things you can find when you raid your ma’s jewelry collection.

Dapper — thanks man! If only I could wear those boots in the rain.

Gerri — It’s cruel to tuck them away, isn’t it? Maybe I”ll have to move somewhere where it’s warm and dry year-round.

Nicole — I’m with you — I need to travel more, too.

CC — I still need to go back and get that men’s camo t-shirt so I can chop it all up.

Leah — ladyfriend jeans are a great alternative to boyfriend jeans.

Cafe — I love that you’re into the ladyfriend (disguised as boyfriend) jeans too!

    Southern Hostess — thank you!

Hauteworld — that broach sounds absolutely gorgeous!

Lisa — Thank you! I’d try anything to make them work wearable.

    Very nice!

What do you think of some of the Fall styles I have seen that show wearing socks with summer shoes?
