I got this dress chopped, I’m finally posting it.
With its flowy (almost batwing) sleeves and its hippy dippy pattern it’s straight out of the 70’s.
What did it look like originally? Take a look here (my favourite photo is the one of Leroy being a skirt chaser. Literally.)
Wore it with my vintage Yves Saint Laurent belt, which I found in Seattle and absolutely looooove, but cannot, for the life of me, figure out when it’s from.
And my open-toed booties, which I may have to tuck away very soon. Rainy season is approaching in my pretty little city (Vancouver) and they just won’t do for puddle jumping.
But for now, I’d rather live in denial and pretend that autumn is waaaaay far away.

Woaw!
This dress is lovely! especially after seeing your other post: Actually, I think you were right to cut it. You are gonna wear it much more often I am sure!
And the belt is fab!
I just miss a pic with you from tip tp toe, or at least showing you with the entire outfit.
Have anice day!
Thank you for being (seemingly) the only other person in the blogosphere who – like me – is clinging on to summer. I love Fall and the outfits involved, but I know the cold weather will last longer than the warm… sigh. Love the dress, but I can’t take my eyes off the belt… and the peep-toes…
Totally gorgeous, darling! Love the booties too!
xoxox,
CC

OMG! You have such an AURA of Beauty and Elegance as YOU wear this FAB dress! The incredible belt and chic soles are the perfect accessories !!!:)
love the dress, it looks prettier like this:)
I really want that dress. The belt too. Such a gorgeous piece for fall! :)
And where is this dress from? I tried to steal it, it didn’t happen…
Sofia — I will wear it far more often, for sure. It was a bit dowdy before. Sorry about the lack of head-to-toe shot — none of them turned out.
Haute — I’m so glad you’re with me on the prolonging summer train. Fall is too rainy and coming too soon.
CC — thank you! I found them at Macy’s in Seattle.
Lexie — a bangle collection is so much fun and so versatile because they’re so mix-and-matchable
Quelle — try the Fremont Vintage Mall in Seattle (they have great furniture too) and the surrounding area is fun to explore
Gerri — that aura of beauty? It’s the sun, not me ;)
Anna — thanks! It has a nicer proportion short, I think. Looks much less heavy
Cafe — More like gorgeous piece for delaying fall. I’m just not ready!
Larissa — I hate to say this, but I don’t remember where I found the dress (you know you shop too much when…). I think it was the Bohemia Gallery on Main Street.
i LOVE your blog, this post is incredible. The dress wow. The shoes, Oh my..
Lola.
Who takes your photos? They’re always so great!
i love that dress! the length is perfect, and that belt is really cute with it!

Lola — thank you! Absolutely love your blog too.
Jess — My husband and me. He takes the photos of my outfits and I take the photos of everything else (like Istanbul, for example).
Mint — thank you! I was soooo thrilled when I found that belt.
Great angles on the ones he takes of you … I absolutely love photography and used to want to be a photographer, but life sort of took over :)
what about socks and carefully dodging vancouver’s slosh puddles? not the wooly kind from mec but something cute and girly. you, if anyone, could definitely pull it off. i dare you!
i’d hate to see these shoes away for the rainy season = 10-11 months.
