It’s a beautiful life

As soon as Liv of A Beautiful Life returned from Hong Kong, she wrote a lovely guest post on that city (which only made me want to visit even more than I already did).

Now that I’ve just returned from Turkey (more specifically, now that I’ve just returned from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul), I was all too happy to return the favour and write a little something for her blog, which you can find here.

Speaking of Turkey, I fell in love with all the cats that owned the streets there. Crazy cat lady that I am, I would have adopted them all.

Not that this kitty is from there. He, like me, was born and raised in Vancouver.

But back to the task at hand, you can read my guest post here.

This is another fab look, this time of bohemian elegance! The dress and necklaces are amazing together, only you can pull this off because there’s a certain grace about yourself that adds to the softness of this look!

I love aquarius people. That’s why we get along so well.

Gorgeous outfit! It looks really nice and cool for the summer too.

Your mention of the bazaar reminded me of one of the true-life stories in Tales from the Expat Haren, in which a woman transplanted to Turkey establishes her own business running shopping tours for tourists visiting the bazaar for the first time. You should definitely check out this book!

I already commented on Liv’s blog yesterday, but wanted to let you know as well – loved the guest post! Gorgeous dress and love the necklaces. That first image is so beautiful by the way. Need to get back to Istanbul asap. Oh, and you definitely need to go to Hong Kong! You’ll love it! Like Liv, I grew up there (and my parents still live there).

hey gorgeous, thanks for writing such a wonderful blog post. I also love Aquariuses.

I think the coolest thing about this whole blogging thing is that we got to become good friends and know each other better.

    Happy blogging!

Wow that dress looks great on!

You and Liv should blog together more often, BTW! It’s a meeting of fabulous minds!

Gerri — Has anyone ever told you that you write the sweetest comments ever?

La Flore — You’re right. Must be in the stars.

Lisa — I so need to pick up Tales from the Expat Harem. It’s ridiculous how much I read when I’m on vacation and how little I read when I’m at home. I really need to even this out a bit.

Dreamsequins — It is! You have to go — it’d be so much easier for you to get there because I bet you could fly direct to Istanbul (unlike me, who spent 21 hours trying to get there)

Rissa — I love my zoo. Just you wait until we get a second puppy.

Haute — Thank you! Don’t you just love Liv’s blog?

Il Ramiolo — Your food photography is delicious.

    Liv — bloggers 4 eva.

Allie — guest posts are so much fun, aren’t they?

    Cafe Fashionista — enjoy!

I felt the same way about the cats in Belize. Luckily, they weren’t very friendly so I couldn’t have followed through on the desire.

    Such a lovely top/dress.
